Book 'Horizons of science (essays about science and scientists)', Ed. by Yurij Holovatch and Yaroslav Hrytsak. Lviv, Manuscript-Lviv, 2014, 187 p. (in Ukrainian) coverfull book

‘Horizons of Science’ is a title of an interdisciplinary seminar organized by scholars in natural and social sciences and in the humanities from several universities and academic research institutes in Lviv (Ukraine). It aims to serve as a meeting place where state-of-the-art problems of modern science are discussed. Besides an obvious popularization of scientific ideas, the seminar promotes the quest for common interdisciplinary approaches to various problems. This book has appeared as a natural continuation of the seminar. Its authors, lecturers of the seminar, leading scholars from Ukraine and abroad, now offer their ideas to a wider audience. Different chapters of the book present state-of-the-art research in different fields and relate the history of science in a style comprehensible to the general public.
